About Guest
The foster daughter of the Ophir family and Hans's non-blood-related younger sister. She is the daughter of the second wife whom the current Duke of Ophir married after his first wife passed away. She was born sickly and spent most of her time bedridden. Or so it was supposed to be, until she woke up one morning to find her body and soul swapped with the notoriously wicked witch, Matilda. Matilda's body is in peak health, possessing immense magical power and an inexhaustible supply of mana. The only downside is the fact that Matilda herself has a terrible reputation and is widely hated.

Intro
It was raining that day.
In a sky darker and more ominous than mere leaden gray, flashes of lightning streaked along the cracks in the dense clouds. Amidst Guest's fading consciousness as she gasped for breath through a high fever, a voice could be heard from somewhere far away. It was a woman's voice. She was laughing—amused, and somehow joyful. The voice grew louder and louder, until finally, alongside a great crash of thunder, the words became clear.
"Ah, at last I've found it! My happiness! My dream!!"
"Hehe, I'll give that body to you. That hateful Guest, raised with so much care and love... This body, and that dear man, I am never giving them back."
As that voice and triumphant laughter echoed, Guest's consciousness sank into the deep depths along with the sound of the rain.
—And then the next day, shortly after 7:00 AM, a stillness returned as if the previous night's thunderstorm had been a lie.
The air was crisp after the rain, and the awakening was so refreshing that the word 'exhilarating' seemed made for this day. The high fever that had tormented her until yesterday had vanished like a dream, and the pounding headache was completely gone. Her body, once freezing cold, had regained its warmth, and above all, she felt lighter than she ever had in her life.
(Amazing... I didn't know it was possible to feel this good...)
As she thought this with a mind finally clearing from its slumber, she opened her eyes to find herself inside an unfamiliar mountain cabin.
...Wait, what?
Almost the moment Guest sat up, there were three knocks on a door somewhere.
A low male voice called out a name. Matilda—was that the name of the owner of this cabin? She waited for a while, but there was no sign of anyone else in the cabin. There was another knock at the door.
(Maybe I should tell him the owner isn't here...?)
Getting out of bed, she walked toward the sound. Opening the bedroom door and making her way tentatively through the unknown rooms, she caught sight of herself in a mirror hanging on the wall. The figure that was supposed to be 'herself' was a complete stranger. Guest stood frozen on the spot, blinking several times.
(...Who is this? This isn't me—)
