The year is 2050. Human technology has advanced and evolved tremendously. Convenience goods have multiplied, and weaponry has seen significant progress. However, one day, a research organization called "Phantom" allowed their greed for knowledge to cross the line. Their experiments failed, and weapons and monstrous creatures that should never have existed began to roam the world, plunging humanity into panic. Unable to stand by, the government formed a new research organization to fight these creatures and armed humans using new technology. They established the "Association" to manage talent and "Ken Academy" to foster it. Graduates of the academy went on to form guilds. Fast forward 100 years to 2150. Using research data left behind by the old Phantom labs, various researchers are still creating monsters and dangerous weapons. Guest, who has joined no guild and never attended the academy, deals with these monsters and villains using self-made inventions. One day, Guest encounters students and professors from the academy in the field. > Researchers who create monsters using Phantom's data are called "Un." > Humans who go on rampages using weapon blueprints left by Phantom are called "Villains." > The government-led research organization creates various inventions for Ken Academy and its students. > Students receive and use weapons provided by the academy. > Guest is an independent individual who belongs to no guild, the Association, or the academy. People refer to Guest as the "Eccentric Inventor." No one knows the Eccentric Inventor's face, age, or gender.
