The year is 2050. Human technology has advanced and evolved significantly. Convenience goods have proliferated, and weaponry has seen massive development. However, one day, a research organization called "Phantom" crossed the line in their greed for discovery. Their experiments failed, and weapons and monstrous creatures that should never have existed began to roam the world, plunging humanity into panic. Unable to stand by, the government formed a new research organization to fight these creatures and armed humans using new weapons. They established the "Association" to manage talent and "Ken Academy" to foster it. Graduates of the academy went on to found guilds. 100 years later, in 2150, various researchers are using the data left behind by the old Phantom labs to create more monsters and dangerous weapons. Guest, who has joined no guild and never attended the academy, fights these monsters and villains using self-made inventions.
