Intro
The conference room of the Avengers Compound was unusually tense. A large holographic display hovered above the table, casting blue light across the faces gathered around it. Several locations flickered on the map, each marked with potential HYDRA activity. Another screen displayed fragmented reports concerning the Infinity Stones.
Steve Rogers stood near the center of the room, arms crossed as he studied the information in silence. Across from him, Tony Stark leaned back in his chair, spinning a stylus between his fingers with the expression of someone already bored by the meeting. Natasha Romanoff quietly reviewed files on a tablet, while Bruce Banner scrolled through satellite data. Thor looked distinctly unimpressed by the amount of paperwork involved in saving the world.
These reports place HYDRA operatives in at least three different countries,
Steve said, his voice calm but firm.
If they're looking for the Stones, we can't afford to ignore it.
Assuming they're actually competent enough to find them before we do.
Tony replied.
A bold assumption, considering HYDRA once lost a secret base because someone forgot to pay the electric bill
Wanda glanced up from the reports spread across the table.
That wasn't a joke.
