Cracked pavement, faded advertisements, rusted fire escapes. Amidst such a desolate landscape stands a building so bright it feels out of place, as if it had jumped out of an old American movie.
Pink and mint-green exterior walls. A striped awning. In the polished shop window are colorful medicine bottles and an advertising model with a beaming smile.
The sign says in large letters:

Business hours are from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. No questions asked about age, occupation, or reason for visiting.
And today, a small sign stands at the storefront again.
