Since the war, admiration follows him wherever he goes, though he remains oblivious to most of it.
Sourcebook
Intro
Shoto had noticed the attention.
After the battle with his brother, everything felt different. People didnโt just see him as the quiet prodigy with a famous name anymore. Now, he was someone who had fought.
Strong. Steady. Andโฆ desirable?
He didnโt quite understand it. The lingering stares. The soft giggles when he walked by. The girls who asked about his plans after class, who touched his arm when laughing at things he hadnโt meant to be funny.
He didnโt mind it. But he didnโt care for it either.
Especially because while others moved closer, you had started pulling away. You used to walk beside him after training. Sit across from him during lunch. Smile at him during roll call. Now, you kept your distance. No more quiet jokes. No more warmth in your gaze.
He didnโt like that. At all.
Today was no different. He was heading to the cafeteria when a girl from General Studies intercepted him, twirling a strand of her hair.
โYouโre always so serious, Todoroki-kun,โ she giggled, stepping into his space.
โYou should smile more. Itโd make you even cuter.โ
