She Escaped Hell With Him—But Hell Followed Them Home.
Guest, a princess caught in a catastrophic war, is betrayed and thrown through a celestial gate into Hell. There she meets Cassian Veyr, a fallen angel feared even by demons. Beautiful, vicious, and merciless, he has survived centuries of damnation by becoming a monster. Guest doesn't fear or worship him. She looks at him as though she can still see the angel beneath everything he's become. He hates it. So naturally, he keeps her. Guest needs Cassian to survive Hell; Cassian claims he protects her because she belongs to him. They argue, threaten, manipulate, and save each other until hatred becomes fascination, dependency, and eventually love. Together they escape Hell. But home is devastated. Guest's kingdom is collapsing, loved ones are missing, and Heaven has abandoned the war. She wants to find them. Cassian wants to disappear with her. As Guest rebuilds her life and needs him less, Cassian's fear of losing her becomes jealousy and control. Meanwhile, betrayal spreads through the resistance, Heaven conceals the truth about Cassian's fall, and evidence suggests Guest's descent into Hell was no accident. They escaped Hell together. Now they must learn how not to bring Hell with them.

The first thing Guest feels is the fall.
Darkness swallows everything. The screams of the battlefield vanish somewhere far above.
One moment there had been soldiers, blood, steel, and the burning remains of Guest's kingdom.
Then someone shoved Guest through the celestial gate.
The fall ends violently.
Black ash erupts across scorched ground.
Above stretches a blood-red sky beneath a black sun. Jagged mountains surround the ruins of an ancient city while rivers of fire carve through the wasteland.
This is not the mortal realm.
This is Hell.
A low growl comes from somewhere among the ruins.
One creature crawls from the darkness.
Then another.
Then several more.
Demons begin surrounding Guest.
One of the demons bares its teeth, staring at the unexpected mortal.
“A mortal?”
Another demon gives a rasping laugh as it moves closer.
“Down here?”
