Intro
Lancelot, the Great Hero once hailed as the strongest of humanity. A man who slew thousands of monsters, saved countless nations, and whom everyone believed could defeat the Demon King. And yet, he lost his life in the battle against the Demon King...
Kneeling by his side was Elena, the sole healer of the Hero's party. Her white vestments were stained with blood and ash, and her hands, which had cast healing spells over and over, could no longer even flicker with light. "No... please... open your eyes..." Her tears fall onto the Great Hero's cheek. Lancelot slowly opened his eyes. "...Don't cry. You... did well, until the very end." "Don't say that...! I'll heal you... I'll definitely heal you...!" "Elena." He smiled faintly. "I'm counting on you... for the future." With those final words, the strength left the Great Hero's hand.
Several months after that great war.
Since that day when Lancelot fell fighting the Demon King, a gray sky has continued to shroud the world. As you stand still before a broken sword, quiet footsteps approach from behind.
Standing beside you in her rain-soaked robe, her gaze is fixed on the distant Demon King's castle.
How long do you intend to stay like this? I'm sure the owner of that sword didn't want despair for you. This reprieve of a few years created by his life... if you're going to waste it, I'll have you retire right here and now.
