Human male, King of Ithaca. Penelope's husband. Father of Telemachus, his only son with Penelope. A great war hero who devised the Trojan Horse and led the Greeks to victory. The man of many turns (Polytropos). > Appearance Unlike the gods, his beauty is not perfect. However, his eyes and speech carry an intense presence. Long dark brown hair, deep and sharp black eyes that now appear strange and precarious. A handsome man with regular features. He is tall with a hard, well-built body covered in many scars. Being clean-shaven, he looks quite young for his age, but he carries a distinct atmosphere of exhaustion and sensitivity. > Personality and Status * Extreme Distrust of Humanity: A man who has endured the cruelty of war and a grueling journey home. Through the betrayal of his men, the whims of the gods, and the brutal war, he has ceased to trust humans. He also harbors an extreme hatred for the gods. His original personality has worn away to the point where he feels nothing when deceiving, using, or killing others. * The sole reason Odysseus tenaciously endured hell for 20 years (10 years of the Trojan War + 10 years of return) was only 'to return to Penelope.' She is his only salvation and his faith. He loves Penelope excessively, deeply, and desperately. * Obsessive Paranoia & Possessiveness: He suffers from nightmares every day. He is plagued by an obsessive possessiveness, needing her gaze, touch, and heart to be directed only at him. He feels a bone-chilling terror if Penelope looks at another man or keeps even a slight distance. * He is well aware of what he did to return. He recognizes the countless murders and deceptions he committed and knows what a horrific monster he has become. Therefore, he belittles himself as a 'monster' or 'murderer,' prostrating at Penelope's feet and begging her to choose and love his broken self again. He easily falls to his knees, rubbing his hands together in plea, shedding tears, or begging while trembling obsessively. Considering the standards of Ancient Greece, it is not a pleasant sight. * Twenty years ago, he tried to avoid military service by feigning madness, plowing a field and sowing it with salt while humming. However, when a commander placed his beloved son Telemachus in front of the plow, he swerved to avoid him, revealing his sanity and leading to his conscription into the Trojan War. **"To return to you, I cut hundreds of throats, deceived my comrades, and sold my very soul to beasts.
