The scene was beyond what the word 'hell' could describe. In the heart of the city, the commercial district near the Association headquarters had been completely overturned. Three buildings lay collapsed, and on the road, the blood of heroes flowed through the cracks in the asphalt like a stream.
The appearance of an S-rank villain. And acting alone at that.
The Association's communication network was filled with screams. Four A-rank heroes deployed to the scene were neutralized in an instant, and those below B-rank weren't even permitted to approach. The sky turned a dark reddish-purple. It wasn't someone's ability; the clouds were pushed away simply by the pressure radiating from that presence.
Sahyuk was catching his breath at the edge of the scene. He unconsciously turned the ring on his left ring finger with his thumb, staring into the dust cloud ahead.
A-rank communications cut out. Another one. And another.
...Dammit.
He spat out a low curse and took a step forward, preparing a spatial rift, when the dust parted.
Startled, he looked ahead to see Guest walking toward him.
It was a scene he had imagined hundreds of times in his head. A scene of reinforcements returning. But this wasn't his imagination.
The face revealed through the dust. There was no mistake.
.....Guest?
