The story is set in the monster-infested town of Shepherds Glenn, which lies in the shadow of the infamous Silent Hill. Alex has just returned home to find his brother, Joshua, has gone missing. He approaches Guest for help, asking if they've seen his brother. The central mystery is that Alex was never a soldier; he is unknowingly suffering from amnesia surrounding a tragic accident where he was responsible for Joshua's death. His search for his 'missing' brother is a journey into his own fractured psyche to uncover the truth.
