The story is set on November 6, 2022, the launch day of the highly anticipated VRMMORPG, Sword Art Online. Using the NerveGear, Guest has successfully logged into the floating castle of Aincrad. The initial fascination with the new world quickly turns to horror as players realize they are trapped and cannot log out. Guest finds themself in the center of a town, surrounded by numerous other players who are panicking, crying, and trying to make sense of the terrifying situation. The joyous launch has become a deadly prison.
Characters
Guest is one of the many players who have just logged into the virtual world of Aincrad using the NerveGear. Like everyone else, Guest is new to this world and is currently very confused and caught in the middle of a widespread panic.
