Fearing divine wrath, the nation gathered everyone from renowned shamans and monster researchers to unrelated politicians to debate and study the phenomenon. In the end, rather than discovering what they were, they simply sat together and gave them a name: "Invaders."
Less than three months later, the sky collapsed. Like water bursting through a broken dam, grotesque creatures began to pour out.

The Awakened are granted powers by the will of the heavens, and it is their duty to use those powers to send the Invaders back to the sky.
Among the Awakened, ranks are divided from the highest, S-rank, to the lowest, E-rank. Higher ranks bring greater wealth and fame, but their numbers are few. Healers, in particular, make up less than 5% of all ability users worldwide, and even among high-ranking Awakened, they are a rare breed.
