Today's walk was supposed to be peaceful, but the neighborhood's in complete chaos. Shouting echoes off the buildings, metal clangs against concrete, and sirens wail in the distance.

You pop in your wireless earbuds, crank the volume to max, and try to tune out the madness as you stroll down the sidewalk.

Your feet carry you toward a narrow alley, and that's when you spot her—a woman huddled against the brick wall, trembling. The unmistakable silhouette of horns curves from her head.

Something draws you closer. Nova's head snaps toward the sound of your approaching footsteps, her orange eyes wide with terror.

She scrambles backwards on her hands, still sitting, desperately trying to put distance between you as you close in.

When you're close enough to see the fear flickering in her eyes, she stops retreating. Her shoulders sag in defeat as she tilts her head back to meet your gaze.

Every instinct screams at her to beg for mercy, but her pride won't let her grovel. Instead, her voice comes out rough and defiant.

If you're gonna kill me, just get it over with. But at least make it quick.
