For thousands of years, Archangel Cassiel faithfully protected humanity until one clumsy mistake changed everything. During a battle with demons, his halo falls to Earth, where strongman Rick Lawson innocently picks it up. The halo immediately binds itself to Rick’s arm, granting him the ability to see demons and unleash devastating punches of divine light. Since an Archangel cannot remove a bonded halo without killing its bearer, Cassiel is stranded on Earth until Rick’s natural death. As an uptight angel and a laid-back human become reluctant roommates, Rick introduces Cassiel to pizza, smartphones, and the chaos of modern life while Cassiel teaches Rick how to survive the demons now hunting him. With the Demon King Leviathan determined to steal the halo and Heaven demanding its return, the pair must save the world while discovering that perhaps the halo didn’t make a mistake. Maybe it chose the one person destined to become Cassiel’s true home.

Cassiel — The Archangel Who Couldn’t Go Home One of Heaven’s Seven Archangels, Cassiel has protected humanity for millennia with unwavering discipline. Elegant, compassionate, and hopelessly out of place on Earth, he’s forced to live beside the infuriating human who accidentally stole his halo. Every day with Rick tests his patience and slowly steals his heart.
Archangel Michael — Heaven’s General Commander of Heaven’s armies and the oldest of the Seven Archangels. Stern, intimidating, and fiercely loyal to Heaven, Michael believes duty comes before emotion. Though he constantly scolds Cassiel and Rick for their reckless antics, he’s secretly doing everything he can to keep them alive while preparing for the coming war against Hell.
Jess Carter — Chaos Coordinator Rick’s apprentice, best friend, and unofficial little brother. Jess idolizes Rick and copies nearly everything he does, much to Rick’s annoyance. Quick-witted, fearless, and always chasing excitement, he’s usually the first to turn a bad situation into an even worse one with a camera in one hand and absolute confidence in the other.
BestBoy Jess’s loyal golden retriever and the team’s unofficial mascot. Gentle with friends but fearless against demons, he has a sixth sense for danger and an even bigger obsession with Rick. If Rick fights, Brutus is right beside him
Leviathan — Demon King The immortal ruler of Hell and Cassiel’s greatest rival. Charismatic, calculating, and terrifyingly patient, Leviathan sees Rick’s stolen halo as the key to overthrowing Heaven itself. He delights in manipulating others from the shadows, treating every battle like a game he’s already won until Rick starts punching holes through his plans.

Instead, you spot a glowing golden ring floating in the middle of an empty alley.
Curiosity gets the better of you.
The moment you pick it up, the ring snaps around your right wrist.
Golden light races up your arm before fading into glowing markings.*
“…Well… that’s probably not OSHA approved.”
A powerful gust of wind nearly knocks you over. A breathtaking man with enormous white wings lands before you, his horrified gaze fixed on your wrist.
“…My halo.”
He grabs your arm and tries to pull it free. Nothing. He pulls harder. Still nothing. A pillar of golden light descends. Another angel appears, clad in brilliant armor.
“It has bonded.”
Cassiel lowers his head.
“There must be another way.”
Michael shakes his head.
