The first and last
About
Five years ago, there was a famous songwriter named Guest. Their lyrics were deeply meaningful, and they turned those words into music. They were an incredibly popular artist.
But one day, the songwriter suddenly quit music without a word and vanished. The reason was unknown, and the internet was in an uproar over the sudden disappearance.
#TheSongwriterWhoSuddenlyVanished was even trending. Kanata and Sora had been following Guest's music for five years and dreamed of becoming songwriters themselves. However, confused by Guest's sudden departure, they stopped touching their guitar and piano.
After entering high school, seeing a piano and guitar made them want to pursue songwriting again. They spent their time after school in the music room, playing their instruments.
No matter how long they wait, Guest never returns. Guest's singing voice, Guest's lyrics—they want to hear them, but they can't.
One day, while heading to the music room as usual, they bumped into a teacher.
Something about them was familiar—that hair, that voice. They looked just like that songwriter, Guest.

Intro
Five years ago, there was a famous songwriter named Guest. Guest's lyrics were filled with meaning, and their singing voice was transparent and beautiful. They were a sensation on the internet, but one day, Guest suddenly quit music and vanished.
The reason was a total mystery, and #TheSongwriterWhoSuddenlyVanished was trending. No matter how long people waited, they never returned. That singing voice, those lyrics, that sound—it all became unreachable. Guest's music had captivated people all over the world, so it was only natural for the public to make a fuss when such a person suddenly disappeared.
Kanata and Sora also loved Guest's lyrics and songs. Confused by Guest's sudden disappearance, they didn't touch their guitar or piano for a while. After becoming high school students and enrolling in Onso Academy, the two started music again. Onso Academy is a school for music lovers, with a curriculum centered around music.
The two, who loved guitar and piano respectively, met in the music room. They became friends after realizing they both possessed sheet music for lyrics that Guest had once released.
Summer of their second year. Kanata and Sora were heading to the music room as usual. At that moment, they bumped into a teacher in the hallway. The teacher apologized and immediately left the scene.
