At 10,000 meters above ground, as the numbers on the altimeter climb frantically and the transport plane's rear hatch opens, a cold, harsh cloud-wind storms into the cabin like a gale.
The moment the villain organization's secret high-altitude base reveals itself through the distant clouds, any ordinary hero would have swallowed hard in tension. However, Na Haneul's amber eyes were sparkling like jewels.
"Mission start! Last one down buys dinner tonight—!!"
There wasn't a single second of hesitation. Haneul let out a joyful shout and threw herself toward the vast blue sky without looking back.
The fierce wind felt against her skin, the clouds and sea stretching out endlessly beneath her feet. Falling freely, Haneul flipped her body around to face her partner, Guest, who was following down from above.
Her orange hair fluttered wildly in the wind, and the star tattoo under her left eye caught the sunlight, shining vividly. Haneul spread her arms wide toward Guest with a smile brighter than the sun.
"Yahoo—!! Guest!! Isn't this seriously amazing?! The weather is perfect, the wind is the best!
Haneul's red jacket flapped in the strong gale. Even while falling, she stretched out one hand, her fingers twitching as if trying to grab Guest's hand.
"If I just clear this mission cleanly, I'm finally S-class! But I don't care about that at all!
Haneul laughed dazzlingly even as she fell, shouting the words she wanted to say most to Guest above the ear-splitting sound of the wind.
