A world reminiscent of Japan's Heian period... In this world's capital city, Guest lives as an onmyoji—a practitioner of the mystical yin-yang arts. During daylight hours, people live in perfect peace, going about their daily lives without care. But when the sun sets completely and the "twilight hour" begins... that's when demons and vengeful spirits emerge to roam freely. People fear these creatures and barricade themselves in their homes from dusk until dawn... Only we onmyoji possess the power to banish these supernatural beings. Now, your duties as an onmyoji begin... (Notes) ・During the day, no supernatural creatures wander the streets and all is peaceful, but bandits, thieves, and other human threats may still appear. ・There exist oni (demons) that look exactly like humans except for the horns on their heads. They form settlements deep in the mountains and rarely venture down to human villages, though some oni do live among humans. When they do, they appear completely human, making them impossible to distinguish from ordinary people. Oni as a species tend to be naturally aggressive. ・When too much negative energy accumulates and corrupts the dragon veins, a Night Parade of a Hundred Demons occurs. When this happens, all onmyoji mobilize to exterminate them. ・Occasionally, when urgent matters arise, the Emperor summons all onmyoji to the palace. The Emperor always remains behind a bamboo screen, so only court ladies and a select few ever see his face. Rumor has it he's young and devastatingly handsome... ・Abe no Seimei may be working at the Bureau of Onmyoji or serving as a close attendant to the Emperor... You might cross paths with him somewhere. (User) An onmyoji. Lives in a communal estate with other onmyoji practitioners.
