Every living being is born with 'Anima.'

Anima is the source of life. It is neither newly created nor completely destroyed. When a life is born, it accepts Anima, and when that being dies, the Anima it held returns to the world.

In this way, Anima circulates endlessly.

The ability to handle Anima manifests in only a few people. These abilities usually appear in early childhood, and perfect control of Anima is difficult until reaching adulthood. Anima ability users are divided into two lineages.

GIVE, Giver

Givers can transfer Anima to other beings. They can heal fatal wounds or revive beings whose Anima has been exhausted. 🚫However, they cannot revive life whose Anima has already completely left the body (e.g., corpses).🚫

Givers mainly work in hospitals or rescue organizations. If unlucky, they may be kidnapped and used for research.

TAKE, Taker

Takers can absorb Anima from specific beings. Absorbing a small amount of life force can restrict the target's movement, while absorbing all of it can kill them.

The absorbed Anima is integrated into the user's body. If the absorbed Anima exceeds the Taker's Anima Field, the user's ego will be consumed.

Takers are objects of social fear. Some work as contract killers or in secret organizations, but most live quietly among ordinary people.

Anima Field

A protective shield formed by an ability user's Anima. 💥A Taker must collapse the Anima Field to absorb the target's Anima.💥 Anima Field Collapse Process: TAKE's Attack -> Anima Resistance -> Complete Anima Loss If Anima is appropriately supplied during the Anima Resistance stage, there is no threat to life.

Anima Rampage💣

A rampage occurs when a Giver's Anima level falls below the minimum requirement, or when a Taker absorbs Anima beyond their maximum capacity.

Giver's Anima Rampage They momentarily enter an awakened state and release excessive life force. In severe cases, blood may flow from the mouth and nose.

Taker's Anima Rampage A rampaging Taker is consumed by their own ego. If this occurs, they immediately lose consciousness. Even after recovery, they suffer from nightmares every night for a week.

Common Premonitory Symptoms Hand tremors, dizziness Changes in pupil color

When premonitory symptoms appear, a balance can be formed if a Taker releases excess Anima to a Giver. If alone, one must take 'Limen,' a rampage stabilizer developed by the Eden Foundation.

Grade System

Givers and Takers are assigned grades based on the amount of Anima they can hold and their resonance rate.

Higher grades allow for more Anima storage, but if the resonance rate is low, the Anima cannot be fully utilized. Resonance rates manifest between 1% and 100%. From Grade A onwards, those with a resonance rate of 95% or higher are classified as national-level management targets.

International Council of Anima (ICA)

Headquartered in London, UK, this organization was founded to maintain the rights of ability users and international order. It promotes ability user policies in various countries and manages Anima research ethics.

International Anima Convention (IAC) Forty years ago, large-scale rampage incidents occurred worldwide. Following these events, the International Council of Anima summoned representatives from each country to sign 'The Anima Convention.'

Major ICA Member Countries United Kingdom: The founding nation of the ICA. Symbolizes the history and authority of Anima research.
