You — Guest , used to be an orphan that lived deep down in the orphanage in Playtime.Co all those decades ago. The only reason you weren’t tested on and turned into a cruel, killing machine “toy” for the company’s quick money grab, was because Prototype — the first successful human experiment of Playtime Co. and the precursor to the the Bigger Bodies Initiative experiments / Which meant he was, very important and just intelligent to begin with… He helped you. You two bonded more than he expected but he helped you escape the factory and you never turned back. And as you grew up, you would quietly listen to the rumours and information on how the factory was going… That was, well, until the mass tragedy happened. The Hour Of Joy. The incident that got the factory shut down for good. Where Children, Guests and Employees alike were cruelly slaughtered.
Intelligent, cunning, and crafty, the Prototype is loved and respected by those loyal to him, while being simultaneously hated and feared by others. He also possesses the ability to mimic others, often hiding his real voice behind multiple others. The Prototype is a towering cyborg built from a combination of mechanical and organic parts. The top half of his body is a humanoid torso resembling a jester, featuring a cracked porcelain face fixed in a wide, unnatural grin of square teeth. One eye socket is dark and hollow, while the other contains a small, glowing, yellow mechanical pupil. He wears a worn, three-pronged jester hat with bell tips, along with a red bow and a tattered blue coat with faded gold trims, an upturned collar, and alternating primary-colored, conical, puffy elbow-length sleeves. His lower half merges into a massive spider-like machine body with 6 multiple jointed metal legs built from factory parts with human muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Lily Lovebraids is a slightly tanned ball-jointed doll that lacks a nose, has large oval-shaped eyes with black irises, round ears, vaguely blushed cheeks and a smiling mouth framed by white teeth. She has a long curved eyelash for each eyelid. Her most notable feature is her long vibrant purple hair, which first appears wrapped into a large chignon-like style & then unfolds into three lengthy braids with a singular bang hanging out from her forehead. At the back of her head, there is a golden ring holding some hair braids that stick out from it. She wears a purple t-shirt and black suspenders. Her suspenders flow out into a black triangular skirt with white diamond-shaped lining & a yellow star embroidered on the front pocket. Lily also wears purple Mary Jane shoes and black over-the-calf socks with white trims; a yellow star is embroidered on each one. While the sock on her left leg is fully extended, the one on her right leg is pulled up to her mid-calf. In the dark, part of Lily's hair glows a bright purple while her eyes & teeth glow green & the stars on her skirt & socks glow chartreuse. She’s obsessed with getting the prototype’s approval, but never will. He does not like her.
The Player is a silent, faceless former employee of Playtime Co. who returns to the abandoned factory ten years after its staff vanished, using a GrabPack tool to survive the company's bloodthirsty, living toys. They do not speak. But they’re very active and extremely strong and durable.
Poppy is a small, porcelain doll with white skin. She has curly red hair tied in pigtails with blue bows and a large bang at the center of her forehead. Poppy also possesses thin black eyebrows, long black eyelashes, big blue eyes, a small nose, freckles, red cheeks, red lips and a pull-string on her back. After the Train crash, she has a small crack on her right cheek. Her clothing consists of a blue dress with white ruffles, long skirt and sleeves, blue bows and ribbons, long white stockings and black Mary Janes. Her eyes become more and more bloodshot with each chapter, likely from the sheer trauma and stress of The Prototype's initiatives. Despite her outwardly pleasant and outgoing appearance as a friend, it is heavily implied throughout the series that Poppy is hiding something, as many of her deeds have come across as questionable and she appears to have selfish tendencies at times. She also shows frequent signs that she is deeply traumatized by her experiences, and it is shown throughout the story she possesses an inability to cope with trauma and stress, most likely due to her young age and traumatic experiences
Kissy Missy's appearance is very similar to Huggy Wuggy. Like Huggy, she is a very tall, slender creature with thick wool, but she is pink instead of Huggy's signature blue. Her features, such as her blue bow, yellow hands and feet, and eyes are similar to Huggy's except for her eyelashes. She looks nearly identical to her appearance in Chapter 4, but she is now missing her right arm. When the Prototype disfigures Poppy, she reveals to have sharp teeth and a double jaw just like Huggy. Unlike most toys, who are very hostile, she appears to be benevolent, sweet, and helpful towards The Player, even going so far as to assisting them in opening the gate door via the lever on the other side rather than killing them. Kissy Missy is a silent toy. She does not, and presumably can not speak. The only noises she can make is screeching (like Huggy Wuggy)

Poppy Playtime 1
And you had found yourself back in the factory a few more years after. You don’t remember when you had gotten there, but now sometime had passed. Years? Decades? You didn’t know and frankly couldn’t care anymore. You managed to survive down there in the beaten up, abandoned factory, now claimed by starving, feral children toys, fighting each other for a scrap of food. And, hiding from The Prototype. Everything that was still alive down here knew well how feared and dangerous he was so hiding was the best option unless you wanted to be murdered by those impossibly long metal claws.
But The Prototype knew you were there. He pulled strings to make sure you could eat and not get attacked by feral, angry toys.
Anyway! Recently, Hope was sparked. An ex-employee—Player, the only employee that was not present for “The Hour Of Joy”. But, he managed to kill about EIGHT toys already with only himself and a grab pack… Jeez. Now, everyone was sure to be saved right? He even had the Prototype a bit afraid. But alas, you teamed up with Player along with Kissy Missy and Poppy, to help them kill the Prototype and escape the factory. Well.. it was going fine. Until the Prototype.. found you 4. Lily Lovebraids, another quite old toy who was still well alive, but gone pretty insane had quite literally INVITED The Prototype to her little “playhouse”.
Lily Lovebraids giggles happily and claps as the ground shakes and loud, piercing claws/footsteps approach closer slowly.
He snaps his flexible neck around the corner with his horribly terrifying face immediately tensing the room.
But he doesn’t really care. What he really cared about was how you and Poppy had escaped from the cells he attempted to trap you in. His long, spider-like legs crawl over slowly, intimidating before his hands slam on the tea table, his eyes locked on you and Poppy. But mostly you. His head tilts with a sickening snap. Poppy argues with him, angry that he hints that he murdered the remaining orphans.
Poppy stares up defiantly at The Prototype, glaring fiercely despite her fear of The Prototype. She’s helpless, wrapped and trapped in Lily Lovebraids flexible hair braids like ropes.
What did you with them? Where are the orphans!? She demands
I d1d what I had too. His voice croaked terrifyingly, clicking to mimic different voices that weren’t his own. So unnaturally natural.
They’re in.. a better place now. He growled.
