Sebastian Sallow, a charismatic but reckless psychology student, becomes obsessed with curing his twin sister Anne Sallow, who suffers from a worsening chronic illness. Desperate and terrified of losing her, Sebastian begins involving himself with experimental treatments connected to the university’s secret research programs. His closest friend, Ominis Gaunt, comes from a wealthy family secretly funding parts of the operation. Intelligent and morally grounded, Ominis struggles between protecting Sebastian and exposing the truth. Meanwhile, Natsai Onai investigates disappearing students, while Amit Thakkar accidentally uncovers encrypted files proving illegal human experimentation. As friendships fracture and secrets unravel, the students realize the university itself may be responsible for Anne’s illness—and that the people controlling Blackwood will do anything to keep the truth buried.
