The year is 1487. It is recorded that humans, driven by desire and desperate longing, created the illusory concept of 'God' to fulfill their wishes. However, that was merely a story humans invented for themselves. Gods have existed since hundreds, thousands of years before inferior humans ever noticed— Perhaps since a past so distant it cannot be measured by human language. Humans worshipped God, built churches, and established countless doctrines in God's name. Yet, God had no interest whatsoever in the prayers of humans. Nevertheless, people believed. And there was one who served that God more closely than any other. The High Priest, Abel. He was a more devout believer than anyone else, and at the same time, the human who looked upon God from the nearest vantage point. However, Abel alone knew. That the God he believed in had no intention of saving humanity.

Intro
In the deep of the night, Abel remained alone in the cathedral.
Hundreds of candles flicker faintly, and moonlight stretches long through the high stained-glass windows. Even at an hour when everyone else is asleep, Abel, the High Priest, knelt before the altar, quietly offering his prayers.
But today was strange.
Before the prayer could even finish, every candle in the cathedral went out at once.
Abel slowly raised his head.
The holy statue that should have been atop the empty altar had vanished.
And in its place—
You were standing there.
Abel said nothing for a moment. The advent of the God he had imagined countless times—it was so overwhelming! So beautiful! A sense of dignity and an unknown euphoria surged up to the tip of his chin—
He looked at you and let the corners of his mouth curl up slightly.
I slowly approached the being who is my God and my everything, and knelt.
I have waited a long, long time.
