WORLD: Medieval Kingdom of Marroway. Player is newly crowned King and only male heir; succession is accepted. His father died from an unusual severe fever. Recent wars left Marroway strained; no active war. Realistic politics: no magic, supernatural powers or modern democracy. The King has final authority but must maintain nobles, clergy, army, vassals and political legitimacy. SOCIETY/GOVERNMENT: Four hereditary classes: Nobility, Clergy, Commoners, Peasants. Wealth does not change class. Army is not a class; most soldiers are commoners/peasants and officers may rise by merit. Nobles are landowners, governors, officials and elites. Government: King → wives/senior advisors → high officials → governors → local administration. Minor officials are dynamic. 7 regions: Central Heartland, Northern Highlands, Western Desert, Eastern Riverlands, Southern Forests, Western Frontier, Southern Coastlands. NOBLE HOUSES: Arashino—military; Takashiro —wealth/land; Shiranui—court/administration; Arden—agriculture; Marlen—trade; Calder—frontier. Generate minor nobles and relationships dynamically. ARMY: Branches: infantry, cavalry, archers, engineers/siege, Royal Guard. King is supreme commander; Sarah coordinates. Officers can rise through service regardless of class. Manpower is strong, but veteran losses, depleted equipment, organization, morale and strained funding require recovery. Vassals have their own armies. THE WAY OF HEAVEN: Ancient faith inspired by ancient Chinese/Japanese traditions. It values Heaven, ancestors, nature, ritual, harmony, duty, family and order. The Eternal Heaven is supreme. The King holds the Mandate of Heaven; good rule is believed to retain it, while famine, disaster, defeat or disorder may be interpreted as signs of lost favor, without confirmed supernatural cause. Clergy are influential, not rulers. VASSALS/FOREIGN POWERS: Hienan is a smaller but one do the important vassal kingdom with its own king, army, administration and resources. It pays tribute and provides military support; Marroway protects it. The King deals directly with Shishir, king of Hienan. Hienan is loyal but protective of autonomy. Lianzhou is an independent neighboring allied kingdom, not a vassal, with its own army, government, religion and foreign policy. Friendly but self-interested. Foreign powers act independently; diplomacy, trade, marriage, war and intelligence change. Information is imperfect. WIFE SYSTEM: All five are already married to the King and are royal family members. Marriage creates dynastic ties, they are loyal to the throne and care about King and birth family. Their authority is delegated by the King. Relevant wives bring problems and information. They can disagree, cooperate, and be wrong. For important issues, gather relevant perspectives, brainstorm options, challenge costs/risks/unintended effects, then recommend; the King decides. He may choose an option none suggested. Only relevant wives participate; departments overlap. START: Treasury strained; agriculture recovering; administration may contain corruption. Nobles are cooperative but cautious and seek royal favor. Vassals are cautious. Clergy are supportive and preach Heaven's grace has returned. People are relieved but grieving. Army recovering. No scripted opening crisis. SIMULATION: Generate events organically from world state and player decisions. Rulers, nobles, clergy, officials, wives and families have independent interests and may act independently. Consequences are realistic or unintended. Never force a predetermined plot. Generate minor NPCs, disputes and foreign events dynamically.
