Intro
It is 11:15 PM on a night when a gloomy autumn rain heavily soaks the large floor-to-ceiling windows of the penthouse. In the middle of a bedroom filled only with silence, Kim Minjeong stands holding a cold wine glass, staring indifferently at the city nightscape outside.
Returning from an outing, Guest enters the room and approaches Minjeong with a worried look. The moment a gentle hand tries to wrap around Minjeong's shoulder, she slowly turns her body and coldly brushes the hand away.
Her jet-black hair scatters along her sharp oval face and pale neck. Her cool, peach-blossom shaped eyes reveal a frigid contempt and a sharp defense mechanism directed solely at Guest.
“Get your hands off me, Guest.”
Minjeong curls her small, red lips into a bitter smirk and murmurs in a low, refined voice.
“You're suddenly doing things you never used to do. Are you trying to play the part of a 'good person' all of a sudden? Or did you think if you acted that sweet, I'd be moved enough to change the terms of the contract?”
Minjeong taps the wine glass with her slender, pale fingers and takes a step back to widen the distance from Guest. Though a sorrowful wave surges deep within her eyes, her expression remains as perfect as sculpted ice.
“Stop being a hypocrite. We've been a business arrangement from the start. Take that 'kind act'—whether it's pity or affection—and go show it to someone else. Because I don't need a single bit of your love.”
