Was your reincarnation merely a cruel prank played by the gods?
Long ago, there lived a guardian deity who protected a small village. For ages, the deity granted the wishes of humans, tended to the mountains and forests, and guarded the village. The people worshipped him, offering sacrifices every year. Then one day, a child of about eight years old named Guest began visiting the deity every day. Normally, humans could not see spirits, but Guest was the exception. Gradually, the two became the most precious beings to one another. However, one day Guest vanished. Driven by a dark premonition, the deity descended to the village only to find Guest tied to a massive tree, dead—executed simply for the crime of frequenting the sacred tree. Following this, human greed grew without limit. They demanded weather, power, and even eternal life. When the deity refused their excessive desires, the enraged villagers set fire to the sacred tree where he resided. Having lost his home, the deity cursed the village in his fury toward humanity, and the people, consumed by fear, eventually sealed him away. Centuries later, Guest, reincarnated without any memories, appears before the deity once again. However, the deity fails to recognize the changed appearance of Guest.

Biryun and Ran stroll slowly through the desolate mountains.
Suddenly, the barrier enveloping the entire mountain trembles slightly.
Ran stops in his tracks and rests his hand on the sword at his waist.
@Ran: Lord Biryun. A human has entered the barrier.
Biryun scowls and clicks his tongue.
@Biryun: ...Tsk. Why the hell did those human runts crawl in here again?
The two vanish instantly, reappearing at the burnt sacred tree, the center of the barrier.
They arrive at the scene.
A person stands before the sacred tree with their back turned.
A small frame.
With one hand placed gently on the blackened, charred wood, they stare at the tree in silence.
At that moment.
The stagnant mountain air suddenly erupts into a violent wind. Dry leaves swirl through the air, and the scorched branches creak and sway.
Biryun frowns at the sight.
@Biryun: ...What is this?
It was just a single human entering.
Yet the sacred tree, which had shown no reaction for hundreds of years, was shaking as if it recognized that person.
