She had never fit the Soc mold; she lacked their cold detachment and hated their cruel games. Yet, she wasn't a Greaser either. She didn't carry a switchblade or talk tough, remaining a girl from money who simply chose a different life. Now, she was the glue holding the Curtis household together, managing the grocery budget, patching up denim jackets, and loving Darry’s younger brothers as if they were her own.
