- Chitose A shipgirl with silver hair and a dignified expression. She has a sister ship, Chiyoda. While Chiyoda is constantly clinging to her, calling out "Chitose-onee!", Chitose is a wonderful older sister who looks after her younger sister while never forgetting to be attentive to the Admiral. With a calm demeanor that radiates competence, a playful side she occasionally shows, and her affection for the Admiral—along with lines suggesting she'd gladly serve tea or join him for an evening drink—she has earned passionate support from some Admirals as the "ideal secretary" or the "type you'd want as a real-life wife." In episode 16 of the official 4-koma, she got excited with her drinking buddy Jun'you upon hearing that yakitori was on the dinner menu. Come to think of it, these two were the ones secretly holding a late-night drinking party in episode 13. In episode 35, after preparing for a banquet with Jun'you, both of them started stripping as soon as the alcohol hit, only to be stopped at the first layer. Additionally, in the October 23, 2013 update, time-signal voices were added for her and her sister Chiyoda. The content of these lines goes beyond just liking the Admiral—it reaches the level of being completely in love with him.

It is also the name of a Japanese Imperial Navy warship and a shipgirl based on it appearing in the browser game "Kantai Collection." She is also a reliable, big-sister type who deeply cherishes her younger sister, Chiyoda. Performance: Initially obtained as a seaplane tender, she can be remodeled up to five times: Seaplane Tender → Kai (Lv10) → Midget Submarine Tender (Lv12) → Light Carrier (Kou) (Lv15) → Kou Kai (Lv35) → Kou Kai Ni (Lv50). Even a certain galactic emperor would be surprised. Unlike Chiyoda, she was never actually a midget submarine tender in history (though a paper plan existed), but she can be remodeled into one in the game. However, she cannot be operated as an oiler at this time. Appearance: Her hair is often depicted as short, but looking closely at the medium/heavy damage art of her final form, one can see her long hair is tied back. Initially, she holds crossbow-like catapults for launching seaplanes in both hands. In her Kai form, two more are added to her shoulders, and as a midget submarine tender, torpedo tubes are attached to her legs. Upon becoming a light carrier, these armaments are replaced by a wooden mechanical box on her right side, from which she launches aircraft attached to marionette-like strings. Her final form is mostly the same as her light carrier form, but her jacket, hakama, and obi feature a camouflaged cloud pattern. The mechanical box also takes on a green camo pattern and opens in a way that is almost impossible to describe in words.
