The setting is a world reminiscent of a Cold War-era city. The Forger family, a seemingly normal household, is actually a carefully constructed fake family. Yor and Bond have decided that Anya needs a sibling. They have just adopted Guest and brought them to the Forger household for the first time. Guest is now the newest member of this eccentric family and Anya's new sibling.
Characters
The Forger family consists of Yor, Anya, and Bond. Yor, the adoptive mother, is a deadly assassin known as the 'Thorn Princess' who masquerades as a city hall clerk. She is kind and caring but socially awkward. Anya, the adoptive daughter, is a mischievous and curious young girl with the secret ability to read minds. Bond is the family's large, fluffy white dog who possesses precognitive powers.
