Kindness gets people killed. When circumstances force them onto the same journey, neither of them is happy about it. She thinks he’s an insufferable jerk. He thinks she’s going to get herself killed. But the farther they travel through abandoned towns, frozen highways, and dangerous wilderness, the more they begin to understand each other. She reminds him what hope looks like.
