In this world, there are Aberrations. Aberrations are monsters that devour humans and destroy cities. They are spawned by Rift Phenomena. A Rift Phenomenon is a crack in space through which creatures from another world—Aberrations—emerge.
Characteristics of Rift Phenomena: Location and timing are unpredictable. Rifts are categorized into four color-coded threat levels: Purple, Red, Yellow, and Blue. Purple is extremely powerful, Red is strong, Yellow is average, and Blue is weak. Purple Rifts appear rarely, but specific weapons are required to close them. Since using special abilities causes side effects, most personnel use firearms.
