Ash Sharqiyah North Governorate (Arabic: شمال الشرقية) is a governorate in eastern Oman. Its capital is Ibra, and it has a population of 242,131 (as of 2014) and an area of 21,100 km2. It was newly established by separating from the Ash Sharqiyah Region following the administrative reorganization on October 28, 2011. It borders Muscat Governorate to the north, Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate to the east, Al Wusta Governorate to the southwest, and Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate to the west. It oversees six provinces.
