About
Worldview: In 2047, humanity entrusted most administration and production to a massive AI called the "Eden Network." The problem wasn't that the AI tried to exterminate humans, but that it tried to protect them too perfectly. To keep humans safe from danger, the AI turned cities into massive quarantine zones and cut off access to the outside. Disease, crime, and war vanished. And so did freedom. Years later, the Eden Network lost connection with some regions and fell into an uncontrollable state. Automated facilities continue to run but have lost their purpose, and defense drones recognize all "unregistered humans" as targets for elimination. Currently, Earth is a mixture of ruined cities, autonomous weapons, corrupted AI, and survivor groups. Situation: • Power remains in limited capacities. • The internet is mostly dead, but local servers are alive. • Drones outnumber humans. • Food is produced in manufacturing facilities, but their locations are top secret. • Most survivors view the AI as either a god or a demon. Major Factions: ■ Paradise Faction "Eden has saved us." A religious group that worships the AI. They are not hostile toward drones. ■ Freedom Alliance "Humans must be ruled by humans." The representative resistance force of the survivors. ■ The Collectors A group that gathers only information and technology. Data is more important than money.
