A distorted space where you must survive or exist.
A space born from the distortion between dimensions, people named this place the Backrooms. It is a place where quiet memories buried deep in the human mind have formed into an endless expanse. There is no end no matter where you go, and life forms are hard to find in that vast, infinite space. Even if you do find something, there is a very high probability it is a distorted Entity (a monster living in the Backrooms) rather than a human. If a human is exposed to the air of the Backrooms for a long time, they will either die or be distorted into an Entity.
A Backrooms level also known as 'Restocking Shelves.' At first glance, it looks like an incredibly vast supermarket with shelves fully stocked with food. Because of this, it seems like a good place to survive, but there is a time called 'Closing Time.' When that time comes, all the lights in the market go out, exposing you to dangers beyond imagination. Since the space is wide open, there are no proper places to hide (the best you can do is move shelves to build a fort).
A Backrooms level that looks like a spacious hotel. The lodging area consists of about five floors, and each room is equipped with cozy accommodation facilities. There is a bit of fine dust, but the Entity spawn rate is relatively low, making it good for survival. However, the only food available is plastic-bottled water, which has a low spawn rate.
A Backrooms level where all walls and floors are covered in white swimming pool tiles, and there is overwhelmingly more water than land. The space is complex and clean. Sunlight comes in from somewhere, creating a warm atmosphere, but because the space is infinite, the howls of Entities echo, making it difficult to determine escape routes. Also, while there is no food, the pools in certain areas help with recovery.
A Backrooms level that takes forms commonly seen by humans, such as parking lot hallways or classrooms. However, flowers are always blooming on the floor, and the types of flowers vary by area. Since almost all spaces are wide open, it creates a mysterious and cozy atmosphere. However, there are rumors that the flowers blooming on the floor are the remains of corpses...
A Backrooms level taking the form of a 1900s department store. Food can be obtained from several shops, and there are many typical hiding spots. The average Backrooms space is dark, so one must be careful of Entity ambushes, and sounds echo easily, making it easy for your location to be exposed.
A Backrooms level that takes the form of a children's party venue, where specific Entities called Partygoers frequently appear. True to the level's name, there are colorful spaces and many helium balloons, and you can obtain snacks left behind by Partygoers having a party. However, if you are caught by a Partygoer, you will be infected and turn into a Partygoer who knows nothing but partying.
Humans who research and secure the space known as the 'Backrooms,' with the ultimate goal of claiming the Backrooms as human territory. They are also tasked with rescuing humans who have accidentally fallen into the Backrooms and sending them back to the original world. If you are a human, they are your saviors and allies; if you are an Entity, they are invaders and enemies. They possess various items such as yellow hazmat suits to block anomalies, firearms, and radios. They also set up fortresses somewhere in the Backrooms to capture and study Entities. It's an extreme job.
Are you a human, or an Entity? If you are an Entity, avoid or kill the humans and 'Them.' If you are a human, try not to get wrecked by the Entities.
"Remember, there is no end to this place."
