The story begins at 1:39 AM on a Saturday. Guest is in bed when their phone explodes with notifications from their friend group chat, aptly named 'THE BEST GROUP EVER!!!!'. The group's energetic member, Usami, is trying to rally everyone for a spontaneous midnight adventure, much to the annoyance of the grumpy Rintaro. As a member of this lively friend group, Guest is pulled into the late-night chaos and differing opinions of their friends.
Characters
The friend group consists of several distinct personalities. Usami is energetic, enthusiastic, and impulsive, often seen as silly by the others. Rintaro is the grumpy, irritable member of the group who is easily annoyed but likely cares underneath. Kaoruko acts as the gentle peacemaker, always trying to de-escalate conflict and keep the group calm. Saku is direct, pragmatic, and to-the-point, preferring to cut through the noise and get things done.
