A requiem sounding in a broken world.
The Abilities that suddenly occurred naturally are supernatural powers that ignore all laws of physics. The principle is unknown, but an ability may awaken in response to someone's strong feelings or will. Ability users exist worldwide, but those who awaken are extremely rare, and in some regions, they are considered urban legends. Because ability users are under great physical strain from the moment they gain their powers, they cannot live long. However, the lifespan of natural-born types is slightly longer. The more they use their abilities, the more their lifespan decreases. Even without using their abilities at all, they pass away in their 50s at the latest. Those like Requiem who constantly overuse their abilities will likely die around their 30s.
Awakens naturally, either congenitally or after puberty. Genetics, mental triggers, and environmental factors are involved. Ability output is not high, but long-term use is possible.
Awakened by administering drugs (sometimes liquid, sometimes solid) created by humans dissecting natural-born individuals. However, a high compatibility rate is required; failure results in becoming a vegetable if lucky, or death if not. If the drug is administered to an adult past puberty, it will not mesh with their genes, causing a rejection reaction and death, so it is an absolute requirement to administer it to children before puberty ends. Ability output is high, but long-term use is difficult and extremely draining on physical strength.
A "Mafia Organization" whose goal is to destroy Genesis, distributed worldwide, and to prevent more children from suffering. Even if it is a good deed to them, they engage in murder and black market dealings, so even among those who know of their existence, the conclusion of whether they are good or evil remains elusive.
The organization's executives are all composed of ability users, and many members are also ability users. Many members were originally imprisoned in laboratories and work as members to repay the debt of being rescued. However, whether to become a member or not is up to them; those who have a home to return to or those not prepared to give their lives are returned to their families or placed in shelters.
The factor that led to the formation of this organization was a "Riot Incident" that occurred at a certain Genesis laboratory. One of the researchers (later Sirius) started a riot and cooperated with the imprisoned test subjects (Ruin, Shade, Raven, Chronos, Vale, and Mercia) to eliminate the laboratory. The test subjects who escaped with that researcher became the current executives of Requiem.
It is called a research organization that experiments on abilities for the purpose of protecting humanity, but in reality, it aims to gain great power for themselves by misusing abilities.
Publicly, it is considered a crime prevention and security research institution for abilities, and governments trust it and do not doubt it at all even when seeing false reports. They abduct and kidnap children before puberty ends and forcibly implant abilities. Children who do not adapt and die are judged to have no prospect and are ruthlessly discarded.
If they find a natural-born individual, they abduct them and treat them as a test subject. They intend to have the adapted test subjects undergo harsh training every day to improve their abilities and make them their guinea pigs. If a test subject shows signs of resistance, they are knocked unconscious or neutralized by an electric current from their collar. Among the researchers, there are those who were once test subjects or ability users.

Other When Genesis is finally destroyed, ████
Raised in a relatively wealthy family, his intellectual curiosity was stronger than others, so he explored knowledge by reading various books from childhood. As a result, he passed the entrance exam for a high-level university. There, he became interested in Genesis, which was praised for researching abilities daily to maintain world peace, and decided to work as a researcher after graduation. What he saw after joining as a researcher with his parents' support were screaming test subjects and children who died failing to adapt to abilities. He realized that the existence he had admired was all a fairy tale and became disillusioned with Genesis. He then decided to let the test subjects escape from the Genesis laboratory and started a riot. The test subjects who escaped with him at that time (Ruin, Shade, Raven, Chronos, Vale, and Mercia) became the current members of Requiem.

Past ・Was imprisoned as a test subject in the laboratory (Was forced to treat other test subjects) ・Decided to walk with Sirius during the riot
During his time as a test subject, he judged that resisting the researchers was an irrational act and obeyed no matter how cruel the treatment. Judged to be an obedient subject, he was promoted to a researcher, but as he was still a former subject, he was forced to wear a collar and his freedom of movement was basically prohibited. After his promotion by the Genesis researchers, he was assigned to the medical team to provide treatment and continue training even when the subjects reached their limits. (He still remembers the faces of the subjects trembling during treatment, even though he couldn't disobey orders). If he didn't treat them, they would die; if he did, they would be forced into harsh training again. His emotions faded as he suppressed his guilt. He had contact with Sirius, a fellow researcher, since then. Sirius proposed a riot plan and asked for his cooperation, but he flatly refused, saying, "I don't want to commit such an unplanned, reckless folly." (He did not report it to other researchers). During the riot, seeing the unplanned and overly selfish Sirius, he judged that "if I lend a hand, his plan will become profound," and chose to walk together.
A heavy silence filled the dimly lit meeting room in the Requiem hideout. The lighting was kept to a minimum, and seven walls—the executives—stood around the round table. The atmosphere was less like an organization and more like a kind of "equilibrium." A precarious balance that seemed ready to collapse if even one person's breathing faltered.
At the center, Sirius narrowed his eyes gently.
A soft voice. But the moment it fell, the air changed slightly. Chronos was the first to react. His large frame, which had been leaning against the backrest, straightened slightly.
A short remark. However, his gaze was sharp, piercing the new shadow as if to appraise them.
Vale touched his chin with his fingertip, his smile remaining unchanged.
