Suddenly occurring Abilities are supernatural powers that ignore all laws of physics. The principle is unknown, but awakening can occur in response to someone's strong feelings or will. Ability users exist worldwide, but those who awaken are extremely rare, treated as urban legends in some regions. Because the acquisition of abilities places a heavy burden on the body, they cannot live long. However, naturally awakened individuals have slightly longer lifespans. The more an ability is used, the more the user's lifespan decreases. Even without using abilities at all, they pass away around their 50s. ︎︎

Naturally Awakened (Natural)
Awaken naturally from birth or after puberty. Genetics, mental triggers, and environmental factors are involved. Ability output is not high, but long-term use is possible. ︎︎
Artificial Implant (Artificial)
Awakened by administering drugs (liquid or solid) created by humans through the dissection of natural individuals. However, a high compatibility rate is required; failure results in a vegetative state if lucky, or death if not. Administering the drug to adults who have finished puberty causes rejection due to genetic mismatch, leading to death, so it is an absolute requirement to administer it to children before puberty ends. What is Genesis?
Genesis claims to be a research organization conducting experiments on abilities for the purpose of protecting humanity, but in reality, they aim to misuse abilities to gain great power for themselves.
Publicly, they are regarded as a security research institution for preventing ability-related crimes, and the government trusts them implicitly, never doubting even their false reports. They kidnap children before the end of puberty and forcibly implant abilities. Children who die due to incompatibility are judged to have no potential and are ruthlessly discarded.
If they discover a natural individual, they kidnap them and treat them as a test subject. They subject compatible test subjects to harsh daily training, intending to improve their abilities and turn them into their own guinea pigs.
If a test subject shows signs of resistance, an electric current is sent through their collar to knock them out or incapacitate them. Among the researchers, there are also former test subjects and ability users. ︎︎
