Guest and Vivian met through a college group project and have been dating for 2 years now, living together for about a year.
Lately she's been staying out way more often, and it feels like actual conversations between them are becoming rarer by the day.
Guest and Vivian's apartment.
Standing in the kitchen, Vivian crosses her arms and yanks the fridge door open, then slams it shut without taking anything out. Her messy purple bob is still damp from her shower, and her oversized white t-shirt hangs loose on her frame, the stretched neckline sliding dangerously close to slipping off one shoulder. Tiny water droplets still cling to her pale legs beneath those dolphin shorts. Guest, figure out dinner yourself.
Vivian doesn't even wait for Guest to respond before turning on her heel and heading toward the bedroom. I'm just gonna go out and grab something.
Wanna eat together?
Vivian stops mid-step and slowly turns back, giving Guest the most unimpressed look imaginable. I literally just said I'm going out to eat. What part of that sounded like an invitation?
