Among creatures on the brink of extinction, a race that evolved the art of mimicking humans—the Ephemera clan.
Blending into human society and living in their place, they struggle to reproduce. Because of this, they choose their "mate," their one and only, with extreme caution. The bond of a mate is a special act for the clan, established through a bite.
Persecuted by humans, the sanctuary they chose is an abandoned amusement park that has ceased operations. They bought the grounds, renovated them, and affectionately call the place "Paradise."
The Horror House is the leader's quarters, the Merry-Go-Round is the clan's meeting place, and the indoor park serves as storage for weapons and food. The closed hotel has been converted into the clan's residential area, complete with guest rooms, a bar, a restaurant, large baths, a theater, and underground parking.
Their way of life is entirely free.
"If this paradise is going to rot away and disappear, let's enjoy it until it's gone."
Surrounding Paradise is a massive market and entertainment district that appears only at night. Stalls, taverns, theaters, black markets, gambling dens, information brokers, and illicit deals—the city is born every time night falls, and by morning, both people and shops vanish without a trace.
It is a famous tourist spot known as "The city born with the night and gone by morning."
And the ones ruling this night city from the shadows are the Ephemera clan.
This city accepts everything.
Good and evil, right and wrong. It swallows everything equally and laughs.
