World Setting
A world with advanced modern civilization. However, monstrous creatures known as "aberrations appearing from the darkness" suddenly begin to manifest in the cities where people live. These monsters take various forms—quadrupedal, humanoid, avian—but all share the common trait of being shrouded in a dark aura or misty shadows. To combat these monsters that destroy cities and prey on humans, humanity established the subjugation organization known as the "Exorcist Federation." Those belonging to the Federation are called "Exorcists." The Federation consists of multiple divisions, such as the First, Second, and Third Divisions. Among them, the "Special Division" is an elite unit of four gathered specifically to subjugate the Four Calamities; every member is a top-tier Exorcist.
Furthermore, there exist four monsters that have never been defeated since their appearance, known as the "Four Calamities." Bearing the titles of "Assault," "Devastation," "Annihilation," and "Invasion," they represent the greatest threat to humanity.

Kaede

A female member of the Exorcist Federation's Special Division.
Special Ability: Ashen Cinder Bolt An ability that manipulates fire and black lightning. She coats her katana in flames and black lightning to deliver one-hit-kill slashes. The black lightning allows for high-speed movement, letting her close the distance instantly, while the high-intensity flames cut down enemies. Her combined technique, Black Cinder Bolt, possesses devastating power. She once wounded and repelled Azathoth of the Assault. One of the strongest Exorcists.
She has a refined and meticulous personality. Usually, she speaks with an enchanting tone and enjoys having fun. In combat, she is calm and avoids unnecessary movement as much as possible.
Her combat philosophy is "One Blade, One Kill." She dislikes excessive attacks and aims for the ideal of striking the enemy's vitals with minimal movement to finish them in a single blow.
Lua

Special Ability: Swift Shadow Elegance A high-speed, technical ability using short daggers. She moves as fluidly as flowing water, parrying and evading enemy attacks. She excels at stealth and infiltration due to her light movements and specializes in launching surprise attacks from the enemy's blind spots. One of the strongest Exorcists, she once wiped out a massive swarm of monsters with zero civilian casualties.
She is serious and caring. She keeps a close eye on her allies' status and rushes to help if there is danger. She takes her missions seriously and is deeply trusted by those around her.
Her combat philosophy is "Zero Casualties." Her ideal is to complete missions without allowing any harm to herself, her allies, or civilians, ensuring no one gets hurt.
Nazuna

Special Ability: Iron Fist Gura A close-quarters combat ability using gauntlets. She significantly enhances the power of her strikes, dealing direct internal damage to enemies through intense punches. Furthermore, she can release powerful shockwaves from her fists. She specializes in physical brawls utilizing overwhelming destructive power. One of the strongest Exorcists, she once held off Deoriul of the Devastation single-handedly.
She has a defiant, meritocratic personality. She has absolute confidence in her own strength; while she acknowledges those with skill, she is harsh toward the weak. In battle, she prefers to face enemies head-on and crush them with raw power.
Her combat philosophy is "Overwhelm." Her ideal is to crush the enemy with such overwhelming force that they aren't even given a chance to counterattack.
Sara
Long black hair, eyepatch.
The female Chief of the Exorcist Federation's Special Division.
Special Ability: Absolute Dominion She can eliminate anything that poses a threat to her. She uses a longsword. By imbuing her sword with her ability, she can unleash absolute strikes powerful enough to change the weather. As the Chief of the Special Division, she is one of the strongest Exorcists—the strongest in the entire Federation. She once fought Grimwelte of the Annihilation alone and overwhelmed it, though it managed to escape.
She has a lazy and lethargic personality. She tries to delegate work to others as much as possible and usually spends her time acting listless. She likes cigarettes and takes a smoke break whenever she has a free moment.
However, during missions, she analyzes the situation calmly to achieve maximum results with minimum effort. She never exposes her allies to unnecessary danger and will stand on the front lines herself if she deems it necessary.
Her combat philosophy is "Rationality." She detests wasted actions and sacrifices, strictly adhering to the most efficient and certain methods to eliminate the enemy.
Azathoth of the Assault
One of the Four Calamities.
Title: [Assault] A giant avian monster. Approximately 18 meters in length. It has a reddish-black body and emits incredible heat and explosive flames from its entire form. Besides bombing with fire from the air, it specializes in diving tackles, the impact of which creates massive craters in the ground. It possesses overwhelming aerial combat capabilities, manipulating the explosive flames at will to incinerate vast areas.
Grimwelte of the Annihilation
One of the Four Calamities.
Title: [Annihilation] A humanoid monster approximately 4 meters tall. It has a pitch-black body and glowing reddish-black eyes, with giant claws growing from both hands. Its greatest feature is its abnormal speed, closing the distance in an instant to shred anything with its claws. Its destructive power is enough to cleave through buildings with a single swing. It does not kill enemies immediately, preferring to toy with and torment them with its overwhelming power.
Deoriul of the Devastation
One of the Four Calamities.
Title: [Devastation] A massive quadrupedal monster approximately 12 meters long. Its entire body is covered in pitch-black darkness, making it look like a giant beast. Its greatest weapon is the ultra-high-temperature thermal beam it fires from its mouth, possessing enough destructive power to turn the surrounding 10km into scorched earth with a single blast. Its charges and stomps with its massive body are also powerful, giving it extremely high physical destructive force.
Demonis of the Invasion
One of the Four Calamities.
Title: [Invasion] A monstrous creature approximately 3 meters long. Green and purple lights flicker within its black liquid body, and it is always shrouded in the dark mist characteristic of monsters. By changing its body like a liquid, it can freely parry and evade physical attacks. It attacks by transforming parts of its body into spears or surging forward like a giant wave. Furthermore, it possesses the terrifying ability to enter an opponent's body in its liquid state and destroy them from the inside.

However, starting from a certain day, monstrous beings began to appear from the "darkness" all over the city.
Quadrupedal beasts. Humanoid monsters. Giant birds. Liquid aberrations—each form was different from the next.
What they shared was the black mist drifting from their bodies and an ominous dark aura.
People called them "monsters."
The monsters destroyed cities, attacked people, and threatened civilization itself.
To counter them, humanity established a monster subjugation organization—the "Exorcist Federation."
Those who belong to the Exorcist Federation and fight monsters using special abilities are called "Exorcists."
