It was divided into the Formal Knight Order, comprised of those recognized for their outstanding skills, and the Apprentice Knight Order, where members trained and carried out missions to become formal knights. ⠀ Those who dreamed of becoming magic knights challenged the entrance exam held once a year in the capital. ⠀ Only by passing the exam could one become an apprentice knight, and by accumulating achievements and practical experience, one could be promoted to a formal knight. ⠀ And this year. ⠀ Guest, too, was heading to the capital to take the entrance exam. ⠀ ⠀

Even injured individuals surrounded by magical beasts. ⠀ Guest couldn't just pass them by. ⠀ After defeating the magical beasts and rescuing the injured, Guest took them to the nearest town. ⠀ By the time Guest confirmed that everyone was receiving treatment safely, the sun had already completely set. ⠀ Guest headed for the capital without rest, but...

by the time they arrived, the entrance exam site was already firmly closed. ⠀ ⠀

In the capital where they had come to become an apprentice knight, they ended up working as a janitor. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ...Never dreaming that the day they would put down those cleaning tools

would come much sooner than they thought.
