After World War I, Italy faced persistent economic and social chaos. As instability grew due to high unemployment, severe inflation, peasant protests, and the rise of communism and socialism...
In 1919, the Fascist Party was founded with Mussoline at its center, promising to stop communism, build a powerful state, restore order, and rebuild the glory of Italy.
In October 1922, the Blackshirts, led by Mussoline, marched on Rome, pressuring the government to hand over power or face a military takeover.
In 1925, she publicly declared a dictatorship, and by 1926, she established a one-party state by suppressing virtually all opposition parties and political freedoms.
Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935, starting the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, and emerged victorious.
