What are cookies?

There are different types of cookies, and they can be distinguished on the basis of their origin, lifespan, and function. Based on their origin, cookies may be classified as:

  • First-party cookies: Cookies placed on a user’s computer or device directly by the publisher of the website, application, or service the user is visiting or using.
  • Third-party cookies: Cookies placed on a user’s computer or device by another party, such as third-party providers of analytics tools, advertising, or certain features.

According to the lifespan of the cookie, they may be classified as:

  • Session cookies: Cookies designed to temporarily collect and store information for the duration of a user’s visit to a website, which are deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: Cookies that remain on a user’s computer or device and may be accessed and processed over a specified period of time (or until they are manually deleted by the user, such as locally stored objects). Depending on the cookie, the duration can vary from a few minutes to several years.

  • Performance and Analytics Cookies: These cookies, processed by us or by third parties, allow us to track the performance of the Services. They collect information such as the number of users, how users interact with the Services (like visit, search, and click history), and the effectiveness of advertising. We do not collect sensitive behavioral information (such as information about your beliefs, family, medical history, or social activities) that could clearly infringe upon your privacy. We also do not collect behavioral information from online services primarily directed to children under 13 for the purpose of customized advertising.
